Maintenance Programs

Let's face it. There is never a good time for your heating or air conditioning to go out!

Save time and money on unexpected, costly repairs with a service contract from Air Masters Heating. For just a few dollars a month, you can have total peace of mind protection with one or more of our service contracts. Once in the Spring or Fall, we will visit your residence and inspect your cooling and heating unit. This preventative heating or heat pump maintenance scheduling will promote a more efficient unit for your home, and may prevent unexpected breakdowns when you need your heating or cooling system the most.

Air Masters Preventive Maintenance Checklist - Getting it Done Right the First Time

Air Masters Heating provides priority service for our customers who have an annual maintenance performed or sign up on our annual prepaid maintenance program.  Preventative maintenance  will ensure that your system runs as efficiently as possible. The following tasks will be performed by one of our certified service technicians, depending on the unit, the unit's accessibility and all of its components. (**Additional fees COULD apply if the customer is not a prepaid maintenance contract holder & their system has "Difficult access" to things such as the blower motor or its housing wheel etc. **)


OUTDOOR UNITS
Inspect unit for proper refrigerant levels and adjust if necessary **
Clean dirt, leaves and any debris from inside of the cabinet
Inspect base pan for restricted drain openings, remove an obstructions as necessary
Inspect coil and cabinet, clean as needed
Inspect fan motor and fan blades for wear and damage, older models may require lubrication **
Inspect control box, associated controls & accessories such as contactors, relays, circuit boards, capacitors, sum p heat etc....Inspect wiring and connections, all control box and electrical parts should be checked for wear or damage
Inspect compressor and associated tubing for damage


INDOOR UNITS
Inspect blower assembly, which includes housing, blower wheel and motor **Clean if needed**
On older models, lubricate motor and inspect and replace fan belt if needed
Check combustion blower housing for lint and debris and clean as necessary
Inspect evaporator coil, drain pan and condensate drain lines, clean as needed
Inspect for gas leaks in gas furnaces
Inspect burner assembly, clean and adjust as needed
Inspect ignition system and safety controls, clean and adjust as needed
Inspect heat exchanger or heating elements
Inspect flue system, check for proper attachment to the furnace, any dislocated sections and for signs of corrosion
Inspect control box, associated controls, wiring and connections
Clean or replace air filters as needed ** A standard 1"- 2" filter will be supplied at no additional cost to our Prepaid Maintenance Contract Customers. Please note; customer must supply filter size to office when scheduling their maintenance or confirm it is on file as technicians are unable to carry all filter sizes with them on vehicles.**


WHILE YOUR SYSTEM IS OPERATING
Monitor system starting characteristics and capabilities along with its defrost cycle
Listen for abnormal noises or unusual odors, try to detect the source if any present
Measure indoor/outdoor temperatures & system pressures as needed
Monitor Air Conditioning & Heat Pump systems for correct refrigerant charge
Monitor gas furnace for correct line & manifold gas pressures, adjust if necessary
Measure temperature rise and adjust airflow as needed
Check vent system for proper operation
Monitor system for correct line and load volts/amps
Monitor the systems operations, make sure they are operating according to the manufacturer's specifications


It is recommended by all manufacturer's of heating and cooling equipment that all maintenance and service work be performed by a professional air conditioning and heating contractor that holds the appropriate credentials to install and service air conditioning and heating equipment.
